DIVA – an exhibition

Have you ever wondered what makes a diva a diva? The temporary exhibition in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London will focus on the concept of divas and celebrate the power and creativity of these fantastic people.

Not only will this exhibition focus on divas, but we will also look at how they have evolved throughout history into becoming what they are today.

Exhibition on today’s luxury

The exhibition ‘What’s luxury’ will be shown at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London from April until September 2015. The ‘What’s luxury’ exhibition will explain and show the ideas of luxury today.
What is luxury
The exhibition reveal the secrets of luxury and shows how it is made and helps to understand the cultural aspect of it. At the exhibition extraordinary and outstanding pieces of different craftsman will be presented to the visitors and several unique works will be also on display from various fashion designers including a couture gown by the famous fashion designer Iris van Herpen and works of the British watchmaker George Daniels. At the exhibition visitors will also have the chance to explore the most valuable materials of luxury such as gold and diamonds. At the ‘What’s luxury’ exhibition the future of luxury will be shown through the various objects and projects.

The ‘What’s luxury’ exhibition will take place at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London from 25th April to 27th September in 2015. The museum is open daily from 10.00 to 17.30 except on Fridays when it is open from 10.00 to 21.30.

The development of the avant-garde movement in Russia

Avant-GardeThe exhibition Russian Avant-garde Theatre: War Revolution and Design (WWI) is shown at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London from this year October. The exhibition displays the Russian theatre and the development of the Avant-grade movement in Russia during the WWI.

The exhibition shows a wide range of various works exhibited at the museum for the first time in the UK and some of the works have never been exhibited before. At the museum visitors will have the chance to discover the biggest set and costume designs and artists of Russia including Kazimir Malevich, Alexander Rodchenko, Vladimir Tatlin, Alexandra Exter, El Lissitsky, Liubov Popova and Varvara Stepanova. The exhibition reveal the unpredictable change Russian theatre culture went trough in the first decade of the 20th century. The exhibition Russian Avant-grade Theatre: War Revolution and Design (WWI) is shown at the V&A in London from Saturday 18th October 2014 to Sunday 15th March 2015. The museum is open every day from 10 in the morning until 17.45 in the evening except on Fridays when it is open from 10 in the morning until 10 in the evening.

Constable exhibition at Victoria and Albert Museum

The Victoria and Albert Museum displays the work of Constable on a temporary exhibition currenly, so if you are interested in this painter, make sure to visit the museum before January 11th, 2015.

Constable
John Constable is an English painter who was born in 1776 in Suffolk and he died in 1837 in Hempstead, London in England. John Constable was one of the most outstanding romantic painters of England. He is best known for his landscapes paintings of Dedham Vale. Dedham Vale is the area surrounding his home better known as “Constable Country”. His most famous paintings are Dedham Vale which he painted in 1802 and The Hay Wain from 1821. At the exhibition visitors will have the chance to discover the paintings and art works of Constable. The exhibition is focused on the hidden stories behind of his better known paintings. The exhibition displays one of his most loved and popular pictures such as the The Hay Wain and oil sketches painted outdoors. The other highlights of the exhibition the thousands of etchings he collected. The Constable: Making of a Master will be shown at the Victoria and Albert Museum in the central of London in England. The exhibition will take place from 20th September 2014 until 11th January 2015.

Wedding Dresses 1775-2014 – Victoria and Albert exhibition

Wedding dressesThe exhibition will take place at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The exhibition will display several wedding dresses from different fashion designers as they imagined the perfect wedding dress should look throughout history.

Visitors can trace the development of the beautiful and popular white wedding dresses. The exhibition will present several white dresses from the most famous and well known fashion designers such as Charles Frederick Worth, Norman Hartnell, Charles James, John Galliano, Christian Lacroix, Vivienne Westwood and Vera Wang . At the exhibition visitors will not only be introduced to the development of the white dress but they will have the chance to get more information on the treatment of these special dresses. The dresses on display will cover the last two centuries. Visitors can check the most beautiful, romantic, extravagant and glittering dresses from the V&A collection and there will be on display unique and special ones as well such as Dita Von Teese purple wedding dress which she worn at her wedding with Marilyn Manson or Gwen Stefani’s dress from her wedding with Gavin Rossdale.

At the exhibition visitors will discover the history behind the dresses and will have an insight look in the lives of the owners. The exhibition will be open from 3rd May 2014 until 15th March 2015 at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England.
