Hammersmith Apollo

Hammersmith Apollo is a very popular concert venue in the Hammersmith area of London. The venue was first opened in 1932 and it has a capacity between 3000-5000 spectators. For concert with only standing tickets a bit more than 5000 people can fit into Hammersmith Apollo. The venue has had several former names, for example Gaumont Palace, Hammersmith Odeon and its current name Hammersmith Apollo. Inside the venue you can also find an original 1932 Compton Pipe Organ.

The current owners of the building is the HMV Group, who took over the MAMA group in 2009.

Several famous artists have held their concerts in Hammersmith Apollo since its opening, for example Ella Fitzgerald with Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, David Bowie, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, Frank Zappa, Iron Maiden, Duran Duran, A-Ha, Dream Theater, Kylie Minogue, Katie Pery and many many more.
