Stonehenge

Stonehenge is one of the most mysterious tourist attractions on earth. Lots of work have been done, hours have been spent trying to find out how, why and exactly when this major stone attraction was built, but no answers have been given, only theories. Most people and scientists date Stonehenge to sometime between 3000 and 2000 BC, but they are not able to agree on anything else than that.

To such a site as Stonehenge many interesting legends are connected. Some people claim that Stonehenge was originally built in the 12th century in Ireland, but Merlin the wizard, moved the construction to its current location in London. Others think that they used Stonehenge to study the stars. Again some people claimed, and still claim, that the stones had healing power, while some mean that it was used as a cemetery. Lots of theories and very mysterious… absolutely worth a visit.
