Green Park is to be considered as one of the small parks in London covering only 21 hectares. In Green Park you will not find any lakes and no fountains, but instead you will find a big open area in the park. Long time ago this was the graveyard for lepers, but it was closed by Henrik VIII. Later Charles I opened the park for sports and spare time activities.
The park has been used for fireworks and this is what according inspired Handel as he wrote his Fireworks Music. Today the park is popular among both locals and tourists. The park is open from 5.00-24.00.
