André Rieu London 2024

There will be two concerts with the fantastic André Rieu in London in 2024. The first concert is arranged at May 15 at the Wembley Arena, and the second is arranged on May 18 in the same venue. In between the two London concerts, André Rieu will travel to Leeds and Birmingham to have one concert in each city.

We are looking forward to a fantastic summer in London with lots of awesome concerts. One of the biggest festivals in London is the BST Hyde Park where Robbie Williams and many others will sing and play. But, before we get that far, the biggest star in the world at the moment and one of the most important people in the world at the moment will come to London, Taylor Swift. She will have several concerts at the Wembley Stadium (not the Wembley Arena as André Rieu) both in June and in August. Can you imagine what it will be like at the stadium as Taylor Swift will perform in front of more than 80,000 people? You can read more about the Taylor Swift concerts in London here.

But, maybe you are more enthusiastic about the André Rieu concerts in London than you are about Robbie Williams at BST Hyde Park or the Taylor Swift concerts at Wembley Stadium? Our Dutch friend who was born in 1949 is touring large and small cities of Europe in 2024, and the final stop will be in Antwerp in Belgium on January 12 in 2025. That is one major achievement for a 75 year old man!

Would you rather listen to André Rieu in Birmingham or Leeds? Which is the best city?

Would you like to spend your days in London with sightseeing, and then rather travel to Leeds or Birmingham to attend one of the André Rieu concerts in one of those cities instead? Which is the best city? Which is the easiest city to visit?

Deciding between visiting Birmingham or Leeds on a day trip from London can be a tough choice, but each city offers its own unique attractions and experiences. Birmingham is approximately 118 miles northwest of London, while Leeds is about 197 miles north of London. This means Birmingham is closer, making it a more feasible option for a day trip if you’re short on time.

Birmingham, often referred to as the “Second City” of the UK, boasts a rich industrial history and a vibrant cultural scene. Visitors can explore iconic landmarks such as the Bullring shopping center, the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, and the historic Jewellery Quarter. Foodies will also delight in the city’s diverse culinary scene, with plenty of delicious options to choose from.

On the other hand, Leeds is known for its dynamic nightlife, thriving arts scene, and historic architecture. Visitors can wander through the charming streets of the city center, explore attractions like the Royal Armouries Museum, and enjoy shopping at the Victoria Quarter. Leeds also offers beautiful parks and green spaces, perfect for a relaxing stroll.

So, which city is the best? It ultimately depends on your interests and preferences, and where you are able to buy tickets for the André Rieu concert. If you’re interested in exploring a bustling urban center with a rich history, Birmingham might be the perfect choice. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a lively city with a vibrant cultural scene and plenty of entertainment options, Leeds could be the ideal destination.

Regardless of which city you choose, both Birmingham and Leeds offer an exciting day trip experience from London, allowing you to immerse yourself in the diverse culture and attractions of the UK.

We wish you a pleasant stay in London (and in Leeds/Birmingham), and hope you will have a fantastic concert experience!

Do not confuse the Wembley Arena, in which this concert will be arranged, with the Wembley Stadium. The Wembley Arena is a great venue as well, but it is not at all the same as the Wembley Stadium. There will be other great outdoor concerts in London this summer if that is what you long for (read: Adele, U2, Coldplay and Guns N Roses), but if you want to listen to Bob Dylan at his second last concert in Europe in 2017, this will have to do!
